WELCOME to Benjamin Louis Bradley, Emma Alice Burns, Lucy Mary Kieran and Abigail Rose Leech who were baptised last weekend.

 

CONGRATULATIONS to Aubrey Norris and Mary Hinder, Tim Golabek and Nicola Hinnell and Carl Davis and Allison O’Hare  who were married last week.

 

PLEASE pray for the repose of the soul of Samantha Boland who died recently.  May she rest in peace.  Amen

 

BANK HOLIDAY MONDAY 5th May – Please note Morning Mass will be at 10.00am.

 

SVP MEETING:  Next meeting is on Tuesday 6th May at 7.30pm in the Parish Centre office.

 

UCM: Next meeting is on Tuesday 6th May at 7.45pm in the Bar Area.  Audrey Reeves will be selling leather goods and gifts at of the recommended retail price.  All members of the Parish welcome.

 

ALPHA COURSE: The first session will take place on Wednesday 7th May from 7.45pm to 9.30pm in the Parish Centre.  The course is open to all parishioners and friends.

 

ABBA ADORATION GROUP:  Thursdays 8th and 22nd May from 8-9pm. Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament.  We gather round the altar.  Everyone welcome.

 

FIRST HOLY COMMUNION:  The Sacrament of First Holy Communion will be celebrated in our parish on Saturdays 10th and 17th May at 10.30am.  Please remember the children in your prayers. 

 

SATURDAY MORNING MASS:  Please note that there will be no 10am Mass on Saturdays 10th and 17th May – due to the First Communion Masses taking place at 10.30am on those days.

 

CONFIRMATION GROUP: Meeting for all candidates and their parents on Sunday 11th May from 9.30am – 10.15am in the hall.

 

STEWARDSHIP MEETING:  Next meeting will be on Tuesday 13th May at 8pm in the Presbytery.

 

MILL HILL MISSIONARIES: “Who are they?  What work do they do?” The answers to some of these questions - and others - will be looked at on Tuesday 13th May at 7.30pm.  Fr Ivan Fang and Fr Brian Oswald will help facilitate the evening talk.  Please note that this event will be held at 54 Cookham Rd.  Parking space can be found in adjacent Colby Gardens.

 

MILL HILL APF: The total contributed by St Joseph’s during the last year was £3,615.   Well done.

LITURGY FEEDBACK MEETING: This will take place on Wednesday 21st May at 8pm in the Presbytery. This year’s Lent/Easter liturgy will be discussed as well as the recent training and day of recollection for Special Ministers of the Eucharist.  If you are unable to attend the meeting but would like to make a comment, please put it in writing and post through the Presbytery letterbox.

 

SPECIAL MINISTERS OF THE EUCHARIST:  There are envelopes with the Safeguarding and volunteer forms for collection in the Sacristy.  Thank you for your co operation.

 

OFFERTORY COLLECTION:  The Offertory collection last weekend was £1149.23. Thank you.  The second collection this weekend is for World Communications. 

 

201 CLUB:  Congratulations to our April £50 winner.  Would you believe it?  It’s No. 28 – Mrs Birchenough who has now won the prize on two consecutive months!  This has to be a first.

 

CHRISTIAN AID WEEK 11th – 17th May:  I would like to give you three reasons to think about becoming involved: 1) Our Lord gave us a clear message that we show our love for him when we give our time and talents to the poor and those in need of practical support. 2) Christian Aid week is a way for Christians to show solidarity to the community that we can and do work together in Christ. 3) It is an opportunity to make a loving connection with neighbours, including those you do not already know. NATIONAL CHRISTIAN RESOURCES EXHIBITION: This will take place at Sandown Park in Esher from Tuesday 13th – Friday 16th May.  Please see brochure on the noticeboard for details.
