The present shape and form of our parishes and deaneries has evolved over the life of our Diocese, usually from very small, humble beginnings, and often reflecting the development and changes that have taken place in most areas over the last century or more.  The larger Pastoral Area are another stage in the evolution of the Diocese.  St Joseph's belongs to The Great Park Pastoral Area.

The Great Park Pastoral Area comprises the parishes of St Edmund Campion (Maidenhead west), St Joseph's (Maidenhead Central), St Edward's (Windsor) and St Francis' (Ascot).

The Pastoral Area Council consists of the four parish priests, one of whom was designated by the Bishop as Co-ordinating Pastor, and four elected lay representative from each of the four parishes.

Current membership is:

St Joseph's - Monsignor Tom McGrath (Co-ordinating Pastor), Clare Gallen and Mary Reville

St Edmund Campion - Fr Paul Mooney, Shirley Forde (current Chair)

St Edward's - Fr Michael Morrissey, Pamela Bailey (currently Vice-Chair), Andrew Mullan and Tom Hinds (current Secretary)

The Mission Statement

• We aim to foster close and effective communication between the members of the Pastoral Area, be they lay, clergy or religious.
• We aim, through the aid of the Holy Spirit, to reach out to God's people in lives of service, sacrament and stewardship.
• We aim to be communities where all can use their gifts so we may reach out to those in need.
