PLEASE PRAY for the repose of the soul of Bridie Snapes who died recently.  May she rest in peace.  Amen.  Bridie’s funeral will take place on Friday 16th May at 10.00am.

SVP MEETING:  Next meeting is on Tuesday 13h May at 7.30pm in the Parish Centre office.

 

STEWARDSHIP MEETING:  Next meeting is on Tuesday 13th May at 8pm in the Presbytery.

 

MILL HILL MISSIONARIES: “Who are they? What work do they do?”  The answers to some of these questions – and others – will be looked at next Tuesday 13th May at 7.30pm.  Fr Ivan Fang and Fr Brian Oswald will help facilitate the evening talk.  Please note that this event will beheld at 54 Cookham Rd.  Parking space can be found in adjacent Colby Gardens.

 

ALPHA COURSE:  Wednesday 14th May at 7.45pm in the Parish Centre.  The course is open to all parishioners and friends.  Please contact either Fr Tom on 783988 or Fr Kevin on 628274.

 

FIRST HOLY COMMUNION MASS:  The Sacrament of First Holy Communion will be celebrated on Saturday 17th May at 11.00am.   

 

SATURDAY MORNING MASS:  Please note that there will be no 10am Mass on Saturday 17th May – due to the First Communion Mass taking place at 11.00am.

 

LITURGY FEEDBACK MEETING: This will take place on Wednesday 21st May at 8pm in the Presbytery. This year’s Lent/Easter liturgy will be discussed as well as the recent training and day of recollection for Special Ministers of the Eucharist.  If you are unable to attend the meeting but would like to make a comment, please put it in writing and post through the Presbytery letterbox.

 

SPECIAL MINISTERS OF THE EUCHARIST:  There are envelopes with the Safeguarding and volunteer forms for collection in the Sacristy.  Thank you for your co operation.

 

OFFERTORY COLLECTION:  The Offertory collection last weekend was £1235.16.   The second collection for World Communications was £293.86.  Thank you.

 

PILGRIMAGE TO WALSINGHAM: Saturday 5th July.  We plan to leave St Joseph’s at 7.10am and return at around 9.50pm.  Cost is £12 return (+£4 to visit Abbey gardens – optional).  If you would like to go, please contact Joan Boland on 637863, as soon as possible.

 

THANK YOU:  Mrs Janice Laycock, Head-teacher of St Mary’s School, would like to say thank you to everyone for all the vouchers that are collected for the school and for all the other items brought in and, especially, for the help in school.  They are collecting the Maidenhead Advertiser Cash for Schools vouchers at the moment, as well as those from supermarkets.  All these do give the school extra resources which are used and enjoyed by the children.  Your continued support is much appreciated.

 

NATIONAL CHRISTIAN RESOURCES EXHIBITION: This will take place at Sandown Park in Esher from Tuesday 13th – Friday 16th May.  Please see brochure on the noticeboard for details.
